So don’t say those things anymore!”Armin - ” I wont anymore..Thank you…”—————————————————————————————————————————————Hi everyone! Here is my overdue art trade with annie-s-artworld. We both did Attack on Titan art. She wanted Mikasa and Armin. I really liked the scene where Mikasa tells Armin how important he is to Eren and her, so I did my own take on it and out came this mini comic. I used watercolors with some gouache. Next time I’m not writing the text by hand. I wrote the dialogue in case you can’t read my handwriting haha. Enjoy!

Vegan superhero

Hi everyone! I never got around to posting up my vegan superhero character designs from awhile back. This is old work from like the end of the Fall Semester 2013. This was for my principles of Illustration class.

This is Betsy, the rational vegan girl superhero and her partner in educating, Hannah the cow.
Betsy’s only super power is the ability to communicate with her cow through the use of goggles. Otherwise she’s pretty normal.
She has an incredible sense of acceptance. She is very rational and understands most people can not live a full fledged vegan lifestyle. Her only desire is to educate people nd hope they adopt some points of veganism for a better planet and healthier lifestyle.

She was very fun to design. I really enjoy designing and giving characters personalities. This was done with watercolor, ink wash, and color pencil on bristol. Enjoy.

"Night Travels" My part of the art trade with deerheadlights based on her original characters in her webcomic “KoeKoek and the Last Mammoth.”Sorry it was a bit late, I had to redraw that mammoth like three times. Oh my god. I don’t know how you draw mammoths. I tried being scientifically accurate, but my mammoths ended up looking like aliens. Bless you, Alex, hahaha.I really hope you enjoy ittttt. I used watercolors, a bit of gouache and acrylic.

The Run - Watercolor and gouacheHiiii, This an illustration of my original character, Kikoyan. It’s done with watercolor and minimal use of gouache.I drew my original character in a in between state of entering the spirit world, but waking up from meditation without fully grounding herself in the spiritual realm, so she’s stuck in a state of paralysis. The spirit world is enveloping her in this illustration. I hope you enjoy! Thank you.I will be drawing a header soon. I’m not sure what size it should be. I’ll try to figure it out XD. Byeeee

Hiiiii.
This is a sneak peek of a collage illustration I’m gonna be working on. :)
This is my original character, Kikoyan, currently being possessed. I’m planning to make a collage based illustration that’s all supernatural like so I hope it turns out good!
Enjoy for now!

Support- 20x30” Ink on watercolor paper

Hi everyoneeee, so this was an illustration I did for my Principles of Illustration class in the beginning of the Fall 2013, Hahaha I know it was a pretty big while ago.
This was the first assignment I did for my second year at SVA and we had to do this over one weekend. It was a “test” to stay in the class and see how dedicated we were. This assignment had me crying, hahaha.
Anyway it’s a 50 person illustration based on the people who have influenced me.
It’s 20x30” on watercolor paper. I used ink, watercolor, and white opaque paint.
I drew the people who have influenced me art related mostly and the people who have healed me in my life. I drew real life people, animal and even cartoons. A requirement was that we had to insert ourselves. I placed myself in the center looking at my influences and support with my boyfriend johnhurtado hugging me.

The cartoons/anime/manga influences I chose were Hamtaro, Sailor moon, Shaman King, Sonic, Sym-Bionic Titan, Spirited Away, Lilo and Stitch, and Ratatouille.

The real life people/animals I chose were my best friend, boyfriend, Momma, Bro, and sister, two therapists of mine, another very close friend campaignofmadness, A band called Keane, and Florence +The Machine. The animals were my two dogs, Goku and ChiChi (deceased), two guinea pigs of mine, a hamster I used to have and a corgi and pug (future aspirations).

I put my own original characters in too because it was and is an aspiration of mine to always have my four main characters eventually come to life. It’s the 4th picture in the set of images. (you might recognize Kikoyan, but not the other three because I haven’t introduced them yet)

I also put SVA (my current college) and Cooper Union ( A college I studied at for a long time before actually going to college) as influences on my art work.

There’s really no environment because I wanted to portray a projection of my mind in front of me in some ethereal way. I really hope you enjoy this. I worked hard on it at the time I made it. Drawing all the individual bodies and expressions was definitely a challenge, but this just shows I can do a lot in a span of two-3 days. XD Bye everyone! I hope you enjoy!

(P.S. If you are using an android phone, the colors might show up wonky on your screen. Just know it is mostly gray, black and white.)

I drew this yesterday :B
I really like it.
I think my lines are getting more elegant which is what I am aiming for.
Done with a fat pencil.

Slaughterhouse sneak peek.
I finished it yesterday for my illustration class, but my teacher recommended to add a few things to make it a even stronger composition. It actually got ripped on the commute to school today because there were delays on the train and the train cars were so packed so my work ripped. Hopefully I can fix it before my class review on Tuesday. It’s a very dark piece and bloody so view with caution when I post the full piece.
Bye guysss

HIII.So this was a final illustration I did for my Principals of Illustration class. We had to use a horizontal format successfully. It was up to us to choose what we wanted to illustrate. I usually do dark stuff on my own time, but lately I was doing a lot of happy and cute stuff for school, which I love, but I think my heart is headed towards gritty or emotional pieces. I really love pigs (and animals in general) and I would love to be a vegetarian or vegan if I didn’t get so sick from not eating meat. This piece is about pigs in a slaughterhouse after they have been killed and their spirits become a homogeneous force haunting the worker. (I also feel for the workers because it is a very disheartening job to have.) I’m really fond of this piece because I think I’m finally realizing what kind of style and marksmanship I want to refine. Also I really love supernatural and spiritual stuff, so I would like to be an illustrator that does spiritual or supernatural artwork.  I will be selling a limited run of this print at SVA’s convention “Freshmeat” on May 2nd. I will have a table in the back of the student lounge from 6pm-9pm. I will probably only make 5 prints at $5 each. I don’t want to make so many because I am not sure how well slaughtered pigs and blood will sell. lol friends encouraged me to sell it though, so I will see it goes. To find out more about FreshMeat just look up on Google “Freshmeat Sva 2014” and there will probably be directions and where to go.Byeee

Hiiii. This is my new business card. I will be giving these out May 2nd during SVA’s Freshmeat.
The front side is my original character I have yet to formally introduce. I will soon.
The back side is a dog and its spirit. (was supposed to be a corgi puppy XD)
I wanted to make the business card spirit like to showcase my interest and drawing style. Enjoy!
